Privacy Policy

Your privacy is the entire premise of Angel Will Agents. This policy explains what we collect, what we don't, and why.
1. Information generated locally in your browser
When you use the will builder, the information you enter — your name, address, family details, executor, bequests, and final wishes — is processed entirely in your browser. The completed will document is generated on your device. We do not transmit this information to our servers and we do not store it.
2. Information we collect only if you opt in
We collect personal information only in two voluntary cases:
- Reminder opt-in: If you choose to receive the witness checklist and signing reminder, we store your email address, optional phone number, U.S. state, language preference, opt-in timestamp, IP address, and browser user agent.
- Email-your-will: If you ask us to email your completed will to you, we use the email address you provide to send the document and may temporarily store the will file on our mail server for delivery purposes only.
3. What we do with that information
- Send you the witness/signing checklist you requested.
- Send a single signing reminder approximately 7 days after sign-up.
- Operate, maintain, and secure the service.
- Honor opt-out requests.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use minimal first-party cookies or local storage to remember your language preference. If we use analytics in the future, we will use privacy-respecting tools (such as self-hosted Plausible or similar) that do not require consent banners or set cross-site tracking cookies. This section will be updated accordingly.
5. Data retention
- Reminder opt-in records are retained for up to 90 days after the reminder is sent, then deleted.
- Email-your-will: the will file is removed from our mail queue within 30 minutes of sending.
- You can request earlier deletion by emailing privacy@angelwillagents.com.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information.
- California (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we have, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Angel Will Agents does not sell or share personal information.
- Other U.S. states (VA, CO, CT, UT, TX, OR, etc.): Similar rights apply under state privacy laws.
- EU/UK (GDPR): Standard data subject rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection.

7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS encryption in transit, access controls, minimum-privilege). However, no system is perfectly secure. Because the will is generated in your browser, the safest place for your will is on your own device.
8. Children
Angel Will Agents is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date.
